ちょっとはずしたかな？と言う感じ。ニュー･オーリンズ物って嫌いじゃないんだけどなあ。ロック畑(2,3,12,16,18,19,22,24)がほとんど知ってる曲というのもな。
アーニー・K・ドゥーの(1)は71年には聞こえないな。ボズ・スキャッグスの(2)は何回聞いても誰だっけ？と思う。ジョニー･ブリストルprodの｢シスコの顔役」から。(3)はボニー･レイットの地味な「Streetlights」から。リー・ドーシーの「Yes We Can」('71)はニュー･オーリンズ物の傑作らしいけど(4)はここから。(5)はアーロン・ネヴィルらしい美しい歌声。ドン・コヴェイの(6)はめちゃくちゃカッコイイ。(7)はリー・ドーシーのヒットをミーターズのカヴァーで。「Life、Love And Faith」('72)はジャケもかっこいいトゥーサンのReprise移籍第1弾。ソウルっぽさも出た(8)は名曲。
